Dark Eye Circles Treatment Singapore

Overview

Dark eye circles treatment in Singapore depends on type. Pigmented circles respond to pico or pigment laser (S$100-800 a session, 4-8 sessions) and lightening or retinoid creams (S$30-150). Vascular or thin-skin circles respond to polynucleotide boosters such as Rejuran I (from S$500 a syringe, 3 sessions) or PDLLA-HA boosters such as Juvelook (S$388 half vial, S$688 full vial, 3 monthly sessions). Structural shadow responds to tear trough filler (S$600-1,500). Allergic shiners respond to allergy control and sublingual immunotherapy tablets taken daily for 3 years. Human-tissue collagen boosters (CellREDM, Re2O Fine, Essalia) cost from about S$950 a session with no published evidence.

  • The treatment is matched to the type, pigment needs laser or creams, shadow needs filler, vessels need skin thickening
  • Pico or pigment laser for brown circles, S$100-800 a session, usually 4-8 sessions, Grade B
  • Rejuran I from S$500 a syringe and Juvelook S$388-688 a vial thicken thin under-eye skin, Grade C
  • Tear trough filler S$600-1,500 is the only option that removes a structural shadow, Grade B
  • hADM collagen boosters (CellREDM, Re2O Fine, Essalia) cost from about S$950 a session with Grade D evidence
  • Allergic shiners, daily sublingual immunotherapy tablet for 3 years, Grade A for the rhinitis, Grade C for the circles
Introduction

No single dark eye circles treatment works for every patient because the darkness has four different causes. This page compares the options available in Singapore in 2026, grouped by the type they treat, with price ranges collected from published clinic price lists, the number of sessions, downtime and a plain-English evidence grade for each. The causes page identifies the type where it is unclear.

Dark eye circle treatment by type

The four types of dark eye circles each respond to a different group of treatments, so the first decision is diagnostic, not which clinic to visit. The dark eye circles pillar covers the condition as a whole.

Type you have Treatment group
Pigmented (brown, unchanged on stretching) Pigment lasers, lightening and retinoid creams, sunscreen
Vascular (blue-purple, darker on stretching) Collagen-stimulating boosters to thicken the skin, allergy control and SLIT if the cause is rhinitis
Structural (shadow that disappears under flat light) Tear trough filler, eye bag treatment if a bag is casting the shadow
Mixed Two or more of the above, staged

Prices below are 2026 Singapore ranges taken from at least three published clinic price pages per treatment. No clinic is named.

Pico laser for dark eye circles Singapore price

Picosecond and Q-switched nanosecond lasers (1064 nm and 532 nm) fragment melanin in the dermis into particles the body clears. Low-energy “toning” passes are used around the eye with an eye shield in place.

  • Who it suits. Pigmented circles, including hereditary and post-inflammatory pigment, in all skin tones. It does nothing for vascular colour or shadow.
  • Evidence Grade B. Controlled and cohort studies show measurable lightening of brown under-eye pigment after a course of low-fluence Q-switched or pico laser, with the best results in combination with sunscreen and a lightening cream. Recurrence is common without maintenance.
  • 2026 Singapore price. S$100-800 per session for the eye area, with packages of 5-10 sessions common.
  • Sessions. 4-8 at 2-4 week intervals, then maintenance every few months.
  • Downtime. Mild redness for a few hours, with no peeling at toning settings.
  • Risks. Rebound or patchy darkening if sessions are too frequent or energy too high, especially in darker skin. Eye shields are mandatory to protect the globe.

Best eye cream for dark circles, lightening and retinoid creams

Prescription or cosmeceutical creams containing hydroquinone, tranexamic acid, kojic acid, vitamin C, arbutin, niacinamide or a retinoid (tretinoin, retinal or retinol) slow melanin production and, for retinoids, thicken the dermis slightly over months.

  • Who they suit. Mild pigmented circles, as maintenance after laser, and anyone who wants a low-cost first step. Retinoids also help fine lines and are the one cream with any effect on thin-skin vascular circles.
  • Evidence Grade B. Controlled trials show modest lightening from hydroquinone, tranexamic acid and retinoid creams over 8-16 weeks, an effect smaller than laser that reverses when the cream is stopped.
  • 2026 Singapore price. S$30-150 per tube, lasting 1-3 months.
  • Sessions. Daily use for at least 3 months before judging.
  • Downtime. None, but retinoids and hydroquinone can irritate the eyelid for the first weeks.
  • Risks. Dermatitis on the thin lid skin, which itself causes pigment. Hydroquinone is prescription-only in Singapore and limited to short courses because of the risk of ochronosis, a paradoxical darkening with prolonged use.

Polynucleotide under-eye boosters (Rejuran I) price Singapore

Polynucleotides (PN, also sold as PDRN, which are salmon-DNA fragments) are injected in micro-droplets along the lower lid. They are marketed as stimulating fibroblasts to rebuild collagen and thicken the dermis, so vessels show less and the skin texture improves.

  • Who they suit. Vascular and thin-skin circles, crepey lower-lid skin and fine lines. Not for pigment or a deep trough.
  • Evidence Grade C. Small case series and split-face studies report improved skin thickness, elasticity and patient-rated darkness at 3 months, and there are no large controlled trials against placebo for dark circles.
  • 2026 Singapore price. From S$500 per 1 ml syringe, with S$500-900 per session the usual range.
  • Sessions. 3 at monthly intervals, then one every 6 months.
  • Downtime. Small bumps for 24-48 hours, bruising in a minority for up to a week.
  • Risks. Bruising, lumps if placed too superficially, infection (rare).

PDLLA-HA boosters (Juvelook) for under eyes price Singapore

Juvelook combines poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) microspheres with hyaluronic acid (HA). The HA gives an immediate hydration effect and the PDLLA stimulates collagen over 2-3 months as it is absorbed. It is injected under the eye with a cannula or fine needle.

  • Who it suits. Thin, crepey or slightly hollow lower lids with a vascular tint. It adds a little volume, so mild shadow improves too. It is not a substitute for filler in a deep trough.
  • Evidence Grade C. Published data are limited to small open-label series showing improved dermal thickness and patient satisfaction at 3-6 months. No controlled trial on dark circles has been published.
  • 2026 Singapore price. S$388 for a half vial, S$688 for a full vial.
  • Sessions. 3 sessions at monthly intervals, then one every 6 months.
  • Downtime. Swelling for 2-3 days, occasional bruising.
  • Risks. Nodules if injected too superficially or massaged poorly, and swelling that lasts longer than expected in some patients.

Human-tissue collagen boosters (CellREDM, Re2O Fine, Essalia)

These products are made from processed human acellular dermal matrix (hADM) or extracellular matrix (ECM), micronised into an injectable paste. They are marketed under names including CellREDM, Re2O Fine (also written Re20 Fine) and Essalia as “collagen scaffolds” for the under-eye area, claimed to thicken the skin and reduce darkness.

  • Who they are marketed to. Thin-skin and vascular circles, and patients who have tried PN boosters.
  • Evidence Grade D. No published evidence, and marketing claims only. The only data cited by distributors are unpublished studies of about 20 people. In 2026 the Korean regulator (MFDS) moved to reclassify these products as human-tissue products rather than medical devices, which raised questions about how they had been cleared for aesthetic injection and led several Korean clinics to pause their use. The product’s registration status in Singapore should be confirmed before treatment.
  • 2026 Singapore price. From about S$950 per session.
  • Sessions. 3 at monthly intervals as marketed.
  • Downtime. Swelling for several days.
  • Risks. Unknown long-term behaviour of human-tissue material under the eye, nodules, and the regulatory uncertainty above.

Tear trough filler for dark circles Singapore price

A soft hyaluronic acid filler is placed with a cannula on the bone beneath the tear trough to fill the hollow, so the overhead light no longer casts a shadow. Some brands also give the skin a slightly lighter, less blue look by spacing it away from the muscle.

  • Who it suits. Structural circles with a definite hollow and good skin. Not for pigment, not for marked eye bags (filler beside a bag makes it look bigger) and not for very thin, crepey skin where it shows as a bluish line.
  • Evidence Grade B. Controlled and cohort studies show high satisfaction and a measurable reduction in trough depth lasting 9-12 months or longer, with low complication rates in experienced hands.
  • 2026 Singapore price. S$600-1,500 per syringe. Most patients need 1 syringe for both sides.
  • Sessions. 1, repeated every 9-18 months.
  • Downtime. Swelling and possible bruising for 3-7 days.
  • Risks. Puffiness or a bluish tint (Tyndall effect) if placed too shallow, lumps, prolonged swelling with fluid retention, and rarely blockage of a blood vessel. HA filler can be dissolved if needed.

Sublingual immunotherapy for allergic shiners

Sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) is a daily tablet or drops placed under the tongue that contain a standardised extract of house-dust-mite allergen. Over months the immune system becomes tolerant, nasal symptoms fall and the venous congestion that causes allergic shiners eases. The first dose is taken in the clinic under observation.

  • Who it suits. Patients, including children from about 5 years, whose vascular circles come with confirmed house-dust-mite allergic rhinitis on a skin-prick or blood test. It is prescribed by GPs, ENT surgeons and allergists, not aesthetic clinics.
  • Evidence Grade A for the rhinitis, Grade C for the dark circles. Systematic reviews and several controlled trials show SLIT tablets reduce allergic rhinitis symptoms and medication use. Improvement in allergic shiners is reported in case series and clinical experience rather than trials that measured the circles themselves.
  • 2026 Singapore price. Roughly S$150-300 per month for the tablets, plus consultation and allergy testing. No Singapore clinic publishes a price, so the figure should be confirmed before starting.
  • Sessions. One tablet daily for 3 years (some specialists advise up to 5). Symptom improvement typically starts at 8-14 weeks.
  • Downtime. None. Mouth itching or mild swelling is common in the first 2-3 weeks and settles.
  • Risks. Throat or mouth irritation, and rare serious allergic reactions, which is why the first dose is supervised. It is not suitable for uncontrolled asthma.

Sunscreen and allergy control for dark circles

A broad-spectrum SPF 30-50 sunscreen applied to the lower lid every morning stops pigment deepening and is a condition of any laser result lasting. For allergic shiners, a daily antihistamine, a steroid nasal spray, dust-mite-proof bedding covers and keeping the bedroom free of soft furnishings reduce congestion. Stopping eye rubbing is the single most useful habit change for every type.

  • Evidence Grade B for sunscreen and nasal steroid sprays, Grade C for dust-mite avoidance measures. Controlled trials show sunscreen reduces pigmentation and nasal steroids control rhinitis, while the benefit of bedding covers alone is inconsistent in trials.
  • 2026 Singapore price. S$15-60 for sunscreen, S$20-60 per month for antihistamine and nasal spray, S$60-200 for mattress and pillow encasements.
  • Downtime. None.

How to get rid of dark eye circles, choosing by type

  1. The stretch and lighting tests on the causes page come first. Colour that disappears when the skin is stretched needs filler or eye bag treatment, and no laser or cream will help.
  2. Brown and unchanged on stretching. Sunscreen and a lightening or retinoid cream for 3 months, then pico laser added if the result is not enough.
  3. Blue-purple and worse in the morning. Allergy testing through a GP comes before any aesthetic treatment. Where house-dust-mite allergy is confirmed, treating it, with SLIT if appropriate, may be all that is needed. Where allergy is excluded, a PN or PDLLA-HA booster course is the usual next step.
  4. A bulge above the dark area. The shadow is from an eye bag and the bag is what needs treating.
  5. Grade D products warrant caution. Human-tissue boosters cost more than any evidence-backed option and their regulatory status changed in 2026.
  6. Mixed circles need combination treatment, and any clinic should state which component each treatment targets.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best treatment for dark eye circles in Singapore?
There is no single best treatment. Pigment responds to pico laser and creams, shadow to tear trough filler, and thin-skin or vascular circles to collagen boosters or allergy control. A mixed circle needs a combination.

How much does dark eye circle treatment cost in Singapore?
From about S$30 for a cream to S$600-1,500 for a tear trough filler. A pico laser course of 6 sessions typically costs S$900-3,000, and a 3-session Rejuran I or Juvelook course S$1,200-2,700.

Does Rejuran I work for dark eye circles?
It can thicken thin under-eye skin so blue vessels show less, with Grade C evidence from small studies. It does not remove brown pigment or fill a tear trough.

Can dark eye circles be permanently removed?
Not permanently. Laser-treated pigment can return with sun and rubbing, filler is absorbed within 9-18 months and boosters need maintenance. Treating an underlying allergy with SLIT gives the most durable result for allergic shiners.

Is tear trough filler safe for dark circles?
In experienced hands and with a cannula, yes, with Grade B evidence and a low complication rate. It suits only structural circles, in thin skin it can produce a bluish tint, and it should not be placed next to a prominent eye bag.

General information, not medical advice. A registered medical practitioner should be consulted before any treatment. Dark Eye Circles Singapore does not sell treatments and is not a clinic.
