Under eye wrinkles treatment by degree of laxity
The snap test on the sagging skin under eyes causes page grades the laxity, which is then matched to a treatment group.
| Degree | First-line options | If not enough |
|---|---|---|
| Fine lines, normal snap | Retinoid cream, skin boosters | Light fractional laser |
| Mild laxity (1-2 seconds) | XERF or Thermage Eyes, Secret RF | Fractional CO2 or erbium laser |
| Moderate laxity (2-3 seconds) | Fractional CO2 laser, RF plus laser | Pinch blepharoplasty |
| Marked laxity (stays down) | Pinch blepharoplasty | Lower blepharoplasty with skin excision |
If a bulge is present as well, the eye bag usually needs treating first or at the same time. The sagging skin under eyes pillar covers the condition as a whole. Prices below are 2026 Singapore ranges from at least three published clinic price pages per treatment, and no clinic is named.
XERF under eye price Singapore (mono-polar radiofrequency)
XERF is a Korean mono-polar radiofrequency platform that delivers heat at two frequencies to the deep dermis and the fibrous network beneath it in one pass, without needles. A small eye tip is used under the eye. Existing collagen contracts immediately and new collagen builds over 2-3 months, so the skin thickens and tightens.
- Who it suits. Mild to moderate laxity and crepiness in patients who want a single session a year with no visible downtime, including darker skin where laser carries a pigment risk. It is the lead non-surgical option on this page because it treats the whole lower lid in one session without breaking the skin.
- Evidence Grade C. XERF itself has only small case series and expert consensus behind it, and nothing published specifically on the lower lid. Mono-polar radiofrequency as a class has Grade B evidence for facial and periorbital tightening.
- 2026 Singapore price. S$1,500-2,500 per session for the eye area, from about S$2,000 for the face.
- Sessions. 1, repeated at 9-12 months.
- Downtime. Redness for 1-2 hours, with make-up the same day.
- Risks. Heat discomfort, rare surface burns, temporary swelling.
Thermage Eyes price Singapore for under-eye skin
Thermage FLX with the 0.25 cm² eye tip delivers mono-polar radiofrequency to the upper and lower lids over about 450 pulses, with a plastic shield protecting the eye. Collagen contracts and remodels over 3-6 months.
- Who it suits. Mild to moderate lower-lid laxity in patients who want the device with the longest track record and a single session.
- Evidence Grade B. Controlled and cohort studies show measurable tightening of periorbital skin and improved crepiness at 6 months, with results fading over 1-2 years.
- 2026 Singapore price. S$1,500-2,800 for the eye tip, S$2,800-4,500 with a face treatment.
- Sessions. 1, every 1-2 years.
- Downtime. Redness and mild swelling for 1-2 days.
- Risks. Pain during treatment, rare dents or burns, temporary numbness.
Secret RF under eye price Singapore (fractional RF microneedling)
An array of fine insulated microneedles delivers radiofrequency heat into the dermis at a set depth of 0.5-1.5 mm under the eye, creating columns of controlled injury that heal with new collagen while the surface is largely spared.
- Who it suits. Crepey texture and mild laxity, acne-scarred or thickened lower-lid skin, and darker skin where ablative laser is riskier.
- Evidence Grade B. Controlled and cohort studies show improved periorbital wrinkle scores and skin elasticity after three sessions, with a low rate of pigment change in Asian skin.
- 2026 Singapore price. S$500-1,200 per session for the eye area, S$850 upwards for a full-face treatment.
- Sessions. 3, four to six weeks apart, then maintenance yearly.
- Downtime. Redness and swelling 1-3 days, pinpoint scabs up to a week.
- Risks. Bruising, track marks, small burns, rare pigment change.
Fractional CO2 and erbium laser under eyes price Singapore
A fractional ablative laser vaporises microscopic columns of lower-lid skin. The columns heal from the surrounding skin with new collagen and the surface is resurfaced, so crepiness, fine lines and mild laxity improve together. Erbium lasers ablate more superficially with less heat and less downtime, while CO2 lasers heat more deeply and tighten more.
- Who it suits. Moderate crepiness and laxity, especially with sun damage, fine lines and pigment, in lighter Asian or fair skin. It is also the usual add-on when a surgeon removes an eye bag without removing skin.
- Evidence Grade B. Controlled studies show significant improvement in lower-lid wrinkle scores and measurable skin tightening at 6 months, with results lasting several years with sun protection.
- 2026 Singapore price. from S$450 per session for the eye area; most published eye-area prices sit between S$450 and S$800, depending on device and depth.
- Sessions. 1-3, six to eight weeks apart.
- Downtime. Oozing and crusting 3-5 days, redness 1-3 weeks, pinkness up to 2 months after deep CO2.
- Risks. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in darker skin (the main risk in Singapore), prolonged redness, infection, and rarely ectropion if the lid is already loose at the margin.
Skin boosters for under-eye fine lines (Rejuran, Juvelook, HA) price Singapore
Micro-droplet injections placed in the lower-lid dermis. Rejuran I contains polynucleotides, Juvelook combines poly-D,L-lactic acid with hyaluronic acid, and HA skin boosters (Restylane Vital Light, Teosyal Redensity I and similar) hydrate and plump the dermis. All are marketed as stimulating collagen, although HA boosters mainly hydrate.
- Who they suit. Fine lines and early crepiness with a normal snap test, thin skin with a vascular tint, and as maintenance after an energy treatment. They do not tighten a skin fold.
- Evidence Grade C. Small open-label series and split-face studies report improved hydration, elasticity and patient-rated fine lines at 3 months, and no controlled trial measures tightening of lax lower-lid skin.
- 2026 Singapore price. Rejuran I from S$500 per syringe, Juvelook S$388 for a half vial and S$688 for a full vial, HA boosters S$500-900 per session.
- Sessions. 3 at monthly intervals, then every 6 months.
- Downtime. Bumps 1-2 days, bruising in a minority up to a week, Juvelook swelling 2-3 days.
- Risks. Bruising, lumps if placed superficially, infection (rare), nodules with PDLLA if poorly distributed.
Pinch blepharoplasty for sagging under-eye skin cost Singapore
A thin ellipse of excess lower-lid skin is pinched up with forceps and removed just below the lash line, leaving a fine scar hidden in the lash shadow. No fat is touched and the muscle is left intact, so recovery is fast and the risk of pulling the lid down is low. It is often combined with laser resurfacing or with a transconjunctival eye bag removal. Full details are on the pinch blepharoplasty page.
- Who it suits. Moderate to marked laxity where the snap test skin stays down, patients left with loose skin after fat removal, and anyone for whom energy devices have under-delivered.
- Evidence Grade B. Cohort studies report durable removal of the skin fold with high satisfaction and a low complication rate, and better tightening than energy devices in patients with a true skin excess.
- 2026 Singapore price. S$3,000-6,000 for both sides as a stand-alone procedure, or S$1,000-2,000 as an add-on to transconjunctival fat removal (S$5,000-10,000 combined).
- Sessions. 1, with the result lasting 5-10 years.
- Downtime. Stitches out at 5-7 days, bruising and swelling 1-2 weeks.
- Risks. Visible scar if poorly placed, asymmetry, and a small risk of lid retraction or ectropion if too much skin is removed.
Retinoid cream for crepey under-eye skin
Tretinoin, adapalene, retinal or retinol applied nightly increases collagen production in the dermis and smooths the surface over months. It is the only home product with evidence for under-eye crepiness and is widely prescribed as maintenance after procedures.
- Who it suits. Fine lines, early crepiness, prevention, and maintenance after RF or laser. Not a treatment for a skin fold.
- Evidence Grade B. Controlled trials show measurable improvement in periorbital fine wrinkles after 6-12 months of tretinoin, with a smaller effect from over-the-counter retinol.
- 2026 Singapore price. S$30-150 per tube lasting 2-3 months. Tretinoin is prescription-only in Singapore.
- Sessions. Nightly, indefinitely, with the result judged at 6 months.
- Downtime. None, but redness and flaking in the first 4-8 weeks are common on the lid.
- Risks. Irritant dermatitis and sun sensitivity. Not for use in pregnancy.
Home devices (LED masks, microcurrent, at-home RF) are Grade D. No published evidence of tightening on the lower lid, and marketing claims only.
Botox for under eye wrinkles, when it helps and when it makes sagging worse
Botox for under eye wrinkles is a small-dose injection (1-2 units per side) into the lower part of the orbicularis muscle, just below the lashes. It softens the fine lines that bunch on smiling and can open the eye slightly. It does nothing for crepey skin at rest, and in a lower lid that is already lax it can worsen the sag, because the muscle acts as a sling for the lower lid and relaxing it lets the lid drop, which can also cause dry eye and a baggy look for three to four months. Evidence Grade B for smile lines in a firm lower lid. It is not recommended when the snap test on the causes page is slow. The 2026 Singapore price is S$100-250 as an add-on to a crow’s feet treatment (S$150-600 per area), with an effect lasting 3-4 months.

How to choose a sagging under-eye skin treatment
- The snap test on the causes page comes first. Skin that returns within a second does not need tightening, and a retinoid with a booster course addresses fine lines. Skin that stays down needs a pinch blepharoplasty, and no energy device will match it.
- For mild laxity, the choice is between XERF or Thermage Eyes (one session, no downtime, 1-2 mm of tightening) and Secret RF or fractional laser (several sessions or a week of downtime, better texture improvement). Darker skin tones favour radiofrequency over ablative laser because of pigment risk.
- If a bag is present, the bag is treated first, because tightening skin over a bulge makes the bulge more obvious. See eye bag causes.
- After eye bag surgery, the skin is judged only after 6 months, once swelling has settled, with laser or RF for crepiness and a pinch excision for a fold.
- A retinoid and daily sunscreen accompany every option, because every result on this page fades faster without them.
- Maintenance is budgeted for. RF and laser results last 1-2 years, boosters 6 months, surgery 5-10 years.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best treatment for sagging skin under the eyes?
For mild laxity, a mono-polar radiofrequency treatment such as XERF or Thermage Eyes gives a single-session result with no downtime. For a definite skin fold, a pinch blepharoplasty is the only option that removes it.
How much does under-eye skin tightening cost in Singapore?
From S$450 for a session of fractional laser to S$1,500-2,800 for XERF or Thermage Eyes, and S$3,000-6,000 for a pinch blepharoplasty.
Does XERF work for under-eye skin?
It tightens mild to moderate lower-lid laxity by heating the deep dermis, with results building over 2-3 months and lasting about a year. Published evidence for XERF specifically is limited to small case series.
Can laser tighten sagging skin under the eyes?
Fractional CO2 and erbium lasers tighten mildly lax skin and improve crepiness, with Grade B evidence, at the cost of 5-7 days of peeling and a pigment risk in darker skin.
Will Rejuran tighten loose skin under my eyes?
No. Rejuran I and other boosters hydrate and thicken thin skin and soften fine lines, but they do not tighten a skin fold. They work best alongside radiofrequency or after surgery.
